The 12th Annual Professional Symposium for the Prevention and Treatment of Eating Disorders will take place on Thursday and Friday, February 16 and 17, 2011. The symposium is jointly sponsored with UT Southwestern Medical Center. CME and CEU credits will be provided.
Keynote Speaker is James Lock, MD, PhD, FAED. Dr. Lock is a Professor of Child Psychiatry and Pediatrics in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine where he also serves as the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Pediatric Care Unit and Director of the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Program. One of the most renowned researchers in the field of eating disorders, Dr. Lock is the co-author of the only evidence-based treatment manual for anorexia nervosa. His current research focuses on interventions for younger patients.
