The Business Manager is the primary front office contact managing day to day office operations, administrative tasks,
and helping with special projects such as conferences, mailings, and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Primary point of contact for Members and the general public
• Field incoming calls and emails, take messages, and program phone system
• Manage and maintain office space, equipment, and supplies
• Update database and basic website content
• Administrative support, such as prepare packages, sort/deliver mail, filing, copying, typing, meeting
scheduling, etc.
• Additional responsibilities such as helping organize lectures, conferences, mailings, and projects
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Demonstrated interest in nutrition or the mission personally or professionally
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work proactively and independently and multi-task effectively
• Very comfortable with technology and able to troubleshoot office equipment, database, & phone system
• Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and good judgment
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office, internet, and basic databases. Prior experience with web content
management systems a plus (or able to learn web applications and software quickly.)
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree a minimum
• Previous office and/or nutrition experience a plus
